The Brain-Informed Coach™ Course

Bringing Brain-Informed Science Into Your Coaching Practice

Most Neuroscience gives coaches a lens on the client. This one includes you too.

Turn brain-informed science into a different way of listening, questioning, and coaching. The Brain-Informed Coach™ translates credible, accessible neuroscience into the real coaching conversation, helping you notice what may be happening for your client, what you are bringing into the room, and what you might do next.

Why This Program

Brain-informed science can change what a coach notices. Executive function can affect how clients approach goals and change. Motivation and autonomy matter to sustainable change. And the coach is part of the coaching relationship too, not a neutral observer outside it.

Understanding these factors doesn’t replace coaching skill. It expands the choices available to you in the moment: what you notice, what you ask, and what you do next.

What Makes This Program Different

Relevant. Focuses on brain-informed knowledge that matters to coaching, not neuroscience for its own sake.

Practical. Translates concepts into listening, questions, reflections, and coaching choices you can use.

Human-centered. Keeps the client, their agency, strengths, and context at the center. The goal is never to diagnose or label.

Coach-inclusive. Considers both sides of the coaching relationship, including your own attention, assumptions, capacity, and responses as the coach.

Experiential. Learning happens through reflection, practice, dialogue, and live integration, so you engage with the principles rather than simply learn about them.

INTRODUCING

The Brain-Informed Coach™ Course

Video Poster Image
Are you ready to bridge the gap between understanding brain-informed science and knowing how to thoughtfully bring it into the coaching relationship?

In this course, you will learn brain-informed concepts, and you will explore how listening and presence can become brain-informed coaching tools. At the heart of this course is the idea of becoming:

  • A more thoughtful observer.
  • A more intentional listener.
  • A more responsive coach.

The course is designed to give you room to think, practice, ask questions, notice your own responses, and learn through experiencing the work alongside other coaches.

What's Included In The Brain-Informed Coach™ Course...

MODULE 1

You’ll explore the science behind executive function, including attention, working memory, and cognitive flexibility, and consider how these functions can influence the coaching process and goal pursuit.

MODULE 2

Before turning this lens on clients, you turn it on yourself. This module builds self-awareness of your own executive functioning, patterns, and capacity as a coach, and what that means for your presence in a session.

MODULE 3

You'll learn the program’s signature framework, including the LCC Awareness Lens, Load, Capacity, Context and the Circle of Growth. You'll explore how these tools can work together in a real coaching conversation.

MODULE 4

You’ll take a deeper look at self-determination, motivation, autonomy, competence, and relatedness, and how to keep client agency and ownership at the center of goal-setting and change.

MODULE 5

You’ll translate the concepts into moment-to-moment practice, exploring how brain-informed awareness changes what you listen for, how you stay present, and how you use permission-based reframing in the coaching conversation.

MODULE 6

You’ll explore neurodiversity-affirming coaching and how to apply what you’ve learned with greater precision, inclusion, and ethical awareness, while keeping client strengths, agency, and context at the center.

MODULE 7

You’ll integrate what you’ve learned across the course and develop a flexible, brain-informed approach you can continue to apply in your coaching practice.

From Knowledge to Coaching Practice

This program is designed to move beyond simply learning information. It moves in a deliberate progression:

  • Learn the relevant brain science.
  • Notice what may matter in the coaching moment.
  • Explore with curiosity instead of assumptions.
  • Adapt your coaching choices with intention.
  • Apply what supports agency and sustainable change.

Each module builds on the last, moving from understanding the science to noticing, practicing, and integrating it into your coaching.

The Coach Is Part of the Equation

Much of the conversation around brain-informed coaching focuses on the client. This program asks you to apply the same lens to yourself.

Your own attention, assumptions, executive functioning, capacity, responses, and presence shape every coaching relationship. This program invites you to turn the same brain-informed lens on yourself, not for self-analysis alone, but because your own patterns affect what you notice, how you listen, and the choices you make in the coaching relationship.

Who This Is For

This program is for coaches who:

  • Have completed prior coach-specific training
  • Want to deepen their understanding of brain-informed coaching
  • Want to translate brain-informed science into practice, not simply learn concepts
  • Work with clients with different ways of thinking, learning, and processing
  • Want to strengthen their listening, inquiry, and adaptability
  • Value client agency, strengths, and context

You do not need to hold an ICF credential to enroll. Prior coach-specific training is required. If you already hold a current ICF ACC, PCC, or MCC credential, CCE accreditation for this program is currently in progress with ICF. Once approved, hours completed in this program may be eligible to count toward your CCE requirements.

What You Will Walk Away With

You will leave with:

  • A stronger understanding of the brain-informed concepts most relevant to coaching
  • A practical framework, including the LCC Awareness Lens and Circle of Growth, that you can apply in your coaching practice
  • Greater awareness of your own role in the coaching relationship
  • New ways to listen, question, and use permission-based reframing
  • A library of practical resources you can draw on in your coaching
  • A more flexible approach to supporting motivation, agency, and sustainable change
What’s included:
  • The Handout Library. 44 downloadable resources organized by module, including reference sheets, diagrams, question banks, worksheets and practical coaching tools.
  • The Glossary. A reference guide to key brain-informed and coaching concepts introduced throughout the course.
  • The NeuroStrengths Method™ Client Check-In Toolkit. 67 brain-informed check-in prompts across 9 themes, ready to use with clients after the course ends.
  • The Participant Handbook. A companion workbook for integrating the material as you go, with a 90-day plan for continuing the practice afterward.
  • 9 months of access to all course materials.
  • Founding cohort bonus: Three monthly group coaching calls after the course ends, continuing the practice together as a cohort.

The program runs over 12 weeks. The Welcome Call opens the program, followed by seven modules and four live integration calls throughout the program. Expect roughly 1.5 to 3 hours per week, with lighter weeks when there is a live call and more time needed during module weeks.

Why Learn With Ana?

You can learn a lot about the brain.

But knowing the science and knowing what to do with it in a coaching conversation are two different things.

I created The Brain-Informed Coach™ to bridge that gap.

I bring 17 years of coaching experience, a background in law and professional education, and years of experience training coaches. I care deeply about understanding the science, but I care just as much about what happens when you bring that knowledge into a real coaching relationship.

Because the client is not the only brain in the room.

Your attention, capacity, assumptions, expectations, and patterns shape how you listen, what you notice, and how you respond. Brain-informed coaching includes the coach, too.

My goal is not to give you more information to remember. It is to help you become a more thoughtful observer, a more intentional listener, and a more responsive coach.

Want to learn more about my background, approach, and what shaped this work?

“The Brain-Informed Coach™ is the secret sauce of one of the coaches I admire most in this industry. Few people are willing to consolidate so many years of wisdom into one place and share it this generously.

Whether you are a new coach, an advanced practitioner, or simply someone curious about a brain-informed approach to coaching, you cannot afford to miss this training. Ana does not just teach, she models. Along the way you gain exposure to neurodivergent client work, deep technical knowledge, and perhaps most unexpectedly, real insight into yourself as a coach.

The combination of rigor and immediate applicability is rare. This is not theory for theory’s sake. It is knowledge you can use the moment you walk out.”

- Celeste Robledo, MCC,

Executive and Business Coach, CT

“I had the opportunity to take The Brain-Informed Coach™ course, and I want to mention that, in my view, it is very well-structured and organized. The material is synthesized in a way that made it very easy to navigate. Although the course covers a lot of dense information, the way it is presented, along with the numerous handouts provided, made the learning process both interesting and productive for me; it enabled me to conduct analyses and practical exercises not only on myself but also with my clients. It is a highly relevant, interesting, and practical topic.

Throughout the course, Ana encourages us to go beyond a superficial understanding of the concepts and to actually practice them, allowing us to embody the material before applying it in our work as coaches, mentors, and supervisors. Another point I would like to highlight, speaking from my own experience as a mentor and supervisor, is that this course aligns with the competencies and ethical standards of the ICF and EMCC, both of which are globally recognized associations. Thank you, Ana, for sharing such a vital topic for our profession.”
